Amazing Colour

One of the most attractive things about this tree is the amazing of display of colour that it puts on in the summer. Chains of bright, golden yellow flowers hang from the branches and can reach up to 60cm in length! The golden racemens contrast beautifully against the deep-green, oval shaped foliage and cover the tree. This laburnum tree is a vigorous grower and will reach up to 6 metres in height fairly quickly. It has a broad, vase shaped crown and a strong spreading habit. It would look brilliant grown as a specimen tree in a smaller garden. As this tree has a strong spreading habit it can also be used to make a laburnum walk which is an arch of laburnums that have been trained up over a trellis structure.
