Griselinia Littoralis, or New Zealand Broadleaf, is an excellent hedging plant with it’s dense, leafy habit providing thick cover for screening or shelter from the elements. It is very fast growing and it’s bright green, oval shaped leaves sit beautifully against golden-yellow stems. Small, delicate yellow flowers appear in spring and the hedge bares deep purple berries as autumn sets in.

This dense hedge with its small, oval leaves has become popular in British gardens over recent years and grows particularly well in fast draining, loamy soil. These hedges can easily be kept tidy and tightly clipped, making it perfect for ornamental gardening.
